History

Acadian Medical Consultants was founded in 2012 in response to a need for a better understanding by healthcare professionals regarding radiation protection apparel and accessories. Acadian saw an opportunity to carve out radiation protection aprons to be a stand alone category and not an after thought within the radiation capital equipment industry like the bigger companies had. Since 2012, Acadian had grown from the largest Gulf South distributer to a national distributor and one of HealthTrust Purchasing Group’s preferred vendors, Woman and Minority Owned, Woman’s Business Enterprise, Minority Business Enterprise and WOSB Certified. In 2018, Acadian worked with Health Trust Purchasing Group to create a personal radiation category within their purchasing portfolio.

Our mission is to provide extensive radiation safety education to healthcare workers and patients and quality, domestic-made personal radiation protection. At Acadian Medical Consultants, we want to create a safer environment for our customers exposed to radiation in the medical community, with custom fit products and one-on-one consultations.
